Skier Profile - Belinda Sidman- MP3 Division (Women)

Belinda is new to the sport but very enthusiastic and hopes to represent Australia one day. Belinda was injured in a car accident when she was 16, the other 2 people in the car died and she was left with significant injuries, including a right leg amputation. Belinda is now married with 2 young children.

Not one to sit back and watch Belinda started skiing with friends using a Sky Ski. When she found out about the sit ski she was able to progress really quickly to become a competent skier and compete at the Nationals in Woodford in April 2008. Belinda loves skiing as she can develop her skills and compete at a high level but she can also ski with her family. Belinda has taken a leading role in N.S.W and attend the N.S.W Water Ski Federation Meetings to represent the Disabled Division.

Belinda has also been involved in horse riding for people with disabilities. She competed in Dressage & enjoys trail riding with friends on her own horse. Belinda also enjoys riding her Honda XR80 motor bike with family & friends. Belinda works 2 days a week as a clerk at BCD Security located in Narellan.
