Skier Profile - Scott Wintle - MP2 Division
Scott became a paraplegic in April 1996 from a motorcycle accident in Switzerland whilst backpacking through Europe. Being a keen windsurfer before the accident, Scott kept his interest in water sports and became involved in water skiing through a Sporting Wheelies ‘Come & Try’ day.
Scott has competed at the 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007 World Titles. Scott has been overall Australian Champion in his division MP2 since 2003. He has the current MP2 jump record of 20.9 metres and won the Trick event at the 2007 World Championships in Townsville. Scott competes in the Malibu Series with his able-bodied peers and has also represented Australia in Wheelchair Basketball in 2006.
He is a Graphic Designer by trade and has designed publicity material for the Division including the sponsorship proposal and this website.
